GUARANTEE & REFUND POLICY
In order to complete the process of hiring a Global Polygraph Network examiner, we must first receive an initial deposit (referral fee). The amount of this fee varies by location but is always paid in United States dollars. This fee will be deducted from the total exam fee to calculate the balance to be paid to the examiner.
Global Polygraph Network is a referral service. The initial deposit is for the referral to a qualified examiner, not for the exam, although that amount will be deducted from the published exam fee to determine the balance due. The referral is considered “digital goods” which can not be returned, so this referral fee is NON-REFUNDABLE unless we fail to live up to our guarantee (see above).
It is the customer’s responsibility to insure that it is legal to request the exam in the jurisdiction where the exam is to be conducted. Global Polygraph Network will not provide illegal polygraph exams. A deposit submitted for an illegal polygraph exam will not be refunded. If you have any question about whether an exam is legal, please contact us before registering.
Since we guarantee that an exam date will be offered to our customer within 30 days, it is also our policy that if our examiner is unable or unwilling to provide your exam within 30 days, we will refund the deposit. After an appointment is scheduled, however, most examiners will be flexible about changing appointment dates or times as long as reasonable notice is given to the examiner.
Once an appointment is scheduled, our examiners will require a reservation fee (second deposit) to ensure the client’s attendance. The reservation fee may be a portion or all of the exam fee. Most examiners will provide the exam room, and the cost of the exam room is included in the overall fee. If the exam is to be given at the customer’s location, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide a suitable exam room for the test. Most examiners will not provide testing in a private home.
Once an appointment for a requested polygraph exam has been scheduled, the appointment may be canceled by contacting your local GPN examiner a minimum of one business day prior to the scheduled appointment. If less than one business day’s notification is given to the examiner, including no-shows, the customer will be responsible for paying the entire exam fee. This is a firm and enforced policy since short-notice cancellations usually results in lost income and exam room costs for our examiner. Some of our examiners will have additional requirements regarding the cancellations of appointments. Please discuss any additional requirements directly with your designated examiner.
We recommend that you do not submit your deposit until you are reasonably certain that you intend to follow through with the testing process. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about our refund or cancellation policies.
